To travel through Sri Lanka, tourists are required to have an Electronic Travel Authorisation Visa. You can either apply for one online, or get it on arrival for a few dollars more.
When applying for an ETA online, payments have to be made through ETA’s official website: www.eta.gov.lk . Make you sure that you obtain and print the acknowledgement of your ETA application.
Any payments made to other websites or agencies are not valid to be processed as a valid ETA. Therefore, to avoid making a repayment at the port of entry to Sri Lanka, always make sure that the payments are made by accessing the official Sri Lanka ETA website and bring the acknowledgment with you.
